In the penultimate episode of Baptiste entitled "Lucy", we see Edward Stratton clambering off a boat in England, where he rushes in a taxi to his ex-wife Clare's house. Very awkwardly, Edward's friend from university, Carl appears to be living with her.

He tells them to pack their bags and to be in the taxi within 5 minutes. "Leave your phones here." As soon as the taxi pulls away from the house, a car follows and I got that sinking feeling in my stomach. Edward, didn't you think that you were probably going to be followed?!
I think we need to begin with the death of Constantin. In his final moments, we see him hurriedly packing a bag, until there is a knock at the door. A quick jump shot to the restaurant below and a waitress taking the order of a few unsuspecting people, unaware that Constantin is about to land metres away from them.
Baptiste concludes that it was definitely not suicide - and I'd assume it was one of those higher up in the chain who realised that a large chunk of the million euros is now in the form of a yacht.
Edward takes Clare and her new lover to a caravan park, where Baptiste visits him one night. Very revilingly, Julien admits to Stratton that the man who followed him from Clare's house was a friend of Baptiste's, as he knew that Stratton would go there as soon as he arrived in England. Baptiste only took one phone call that night - from Martha, Niel's mother. He told her of Stratton's new location, and then ended the call.

Edward returns from the grocery shop late one afternoon, and opens the door to the bodies of his ex-wife and new partner. Two slashed necks later and the tiny caravan bedroom is a bloody scene (to say the least). A man suddenly lurches out from within the wardrobe, running towards Stratton and attempts to suffocate him to death. Edward grabs a bread knife and repeatedly stabs him in the back until Edward is surrounded by three dead bodies.
Julien makes a call to Stratton to ensure everything is ok, when Stratton states "They've found me. Clare's dead." Julien hangs up the phone, completely bewildered as to how the Romanian's would have found Stratton in a remote caravan park in England.

We almost see a lightbulb moment inside Julien's head when he realises the only other person who knows of Stratton's new address is Martha, his sons' mother.

Baptiste concludes Sunday 24th March at 9pm on BBC One.
