For Serial Blogger, I set up an Instagram and Twitter account. Currently I have 171 followers on Instagram. One of my posts where Madeleine McCann’s parents revealed that they didn’t want Netflix to release the documentary received 1925 impressions; referring to the amount of times that Instagram users viewed this particular post. Although I do have a Twitter account, I found that even though I was posting regularly by uploading the link to the recent post and asking questions, it did not work as well as Instagram does.

I also use hashtags on Instagram which are relevant to the post, attracting an audience of those who are interested in the topic I post about. An example of this is a post informing the audience of my upcoming review of the first episode of Baptiste, a crime drama on BBC One, where the Radio Times engaged and liked my post. I also have story highlights at the top of my profile, where users can see my previously archived stories and polls. I regularly update my Instagram feed as well as my stories, where I input a question box and followers can inform me of what they would like me to review.
