Line of Duty Series 5

Line of Duty returns tomorrow for it's fifth series on Sunday 31st March 2019, on BBC One at 9pm. Yesterday (March 29th), the BBC released this "sneak peak" of the upcoming series.

Adrian Dunbar returns as Superintended Ted Hastings, who is "set on one thing and one thing only, catching bent coppers". He is absolutely essential to AC-12, leading all the investigations.

Martin Compston also returns for DS Steve Arnott, recruited into the Hastings’ team in series one, after he refused to take part in a police cover-up of a botched anti-terrorism operation.

Vicky McClure also returns to play DI Kate Fleming, once AC-12's undercover specialist, who has now been promoted to Detective Inspector.

The cast also includes Stephen Graham as John Corbett, Rochenda Sandall as Lisa McQueen, Maya Sondhi as PC Maneet Bindra, just to name a few.

Line of Duty is written by Jed Mercurio, renown for Bodyguard. The series is so popular and returns for a fifth series due to its combination of thrilling and tense interrogation scenes, unpredictable twists and captivating lead characters.
